Moving into a new home can be a humbling experience! That's right, humbling! While electricians, plumbers and moving men work, what is the man of the house to do? Stand there with his hands in his pockets? Well, fortunately there are a few simple projects he can occupy himself with. In this article we will discuss blinds, Essex.
Why install blinds on your own? Well, for one thing, it is an easy job not even you can muck up. Another reason is that most women are not aware of this. Really, they don't know how easy it is to install window treatments.
Where to begin? Start by measuring the height and the width of each window that requires blinds. Use a tape measure and record the dimensions from the inside of the window frame.
Then when you go shopping for blinds, give these measurements to the window treatment expert and let him know that all windows were measured from the inside of the frame. Since most windows are standard sizes, there should be a bevy of options.
Once you have selected the right window treatments, it will be time to break out the old tool box. Only kidding!
Installing windows does not require a tool box. Everything you need will be included with the blinds. Actually, that may not be correct. You may need a standard power drill. Blinds are suspended from the top of windows by plastic or metal brackets, and you will probably need to drill holes and screw these brackets into place. But after you have affixed these brackets to the inside of the window frame, all you have to do is insert the main rod into the brackets and the job is done.
